Buyers and Sellers in the Hampton Roads, VA real estate market continue to be frustrated by the local MLS service (Real Estate Information Network) policy to charge consumers for access to detailed listing information provided through individual agents' and brokers' web sites. This program is called MLS ePass. To get complete information (excluding property address) you are asked to pay for an ePass using your credit card.

We, The Butler Team, believe that this “pay-per-view” program is ill conceived and not in the best interests of Buyers or Sellers. We have joined with other agents (Agents For Free Pass) in establishing a website, http://www.no-epass.com/, to help educate the public, other agents, and hopefully our MLS decision makers, about the downside of MLS ePass.

We have, also, created a website for you to obtain detailed listing information for FREE, http://www.emailvirginiabeachhomes.com/. No credit card is necessary! Simply complete the registration form with your property requirements (bedrooms, baths, age of home, price range, special needs, square feet, garage requirement, etc.). We will set up a custom search for you on our non-public MLS. This Home Search is not just for Virginia Beach homes, but for any home listed in the MLS in Hampton Roads.

After registering, you will then receive an initial email from us with all the listings that might meet your needs. Then you will begin to receive regular emails with all new listings as they are entered into the system. These follow-up emails will be "automated". You can opt out any time you want to.
